Context and Purpose
Care Park operates in excess of 500 car parks globally, providing management services, parking equipment technology, property maintenance, cash collection and infringement enforcement contracts throughout Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, United Kingdom, Hungary and Poland.
The purpose of this Environmental Policy is to create a framework for understanding and managing our environmental impacts, risks and opportunities and to inform and support our broader leadership role.
Scope
This policy covers all activities at Care Park’s various locations.
Policy Statement
Care Park acknowledges the importance of protecting the environment in a sustainable manner and to limit any damage or impact its operations may have. Care Park is committed to ensuring this is done in a sustainable, financial and technically feasible manner through the implementation of our Integrated Management System.
We commit to continual improvement of our Integrated Management System, which has been developed to meet the requirements of ISO 14001. As part of our Integrated Management System, the focus of Care Park will be to:
ComplywiththerequirementsofallrelevantGovernment,FederalandLocalorState legislation as applicable for each country, as well as all regulations and policies
Promote environmental awareness amongst our suppliers, employees, customers and local committees to foster a culture that empowers staff to act sustainably
Minimise consumption of energy, water a n d natural resources, in addition to minimizing the output of pollution, waste and emissions
Provide environmental awareness training to ensure personnel are aware of their environmental roles and responsibilities
Conduct business in a manner that is conscious of climate change mitigation and adaptation and that protects biodiversity and ecosystems
Provide infrastructure to meet our environmental objectives and to communicate and implement this policy effectively
Commitment to continual improvement of environmental procedures and policy to enhance its environmental performance
Review of this Policy
